After the bride and groom had left, along with most of everyone else, I go into the bathroom to change into clothes that are suitable for driving home in the middle of the night. Along with me in this facility were fellow Daily List and England team members Robert Braden and Josh Holt. I'm over in the far stall. The large one that will accommodate wheel chairs. It has saloon type doors on it and it's own private sink. Well, after several minutes, I am all changed up and ready to go. The last task to accomplish before leaving was to wash my hands. All I did was simply touch the faucet. Just a touch... and blam-o. The sink falls off of the wall! I stand there for a second, in absolute shock. I think to myself: "Wouldn't it be awful if the pipe broke and water started rushing out?" And then in the next half of a second that is exactly what happens. Water is rushing out of the wall, all over me, my clothes, shoes, everything. In a swoop I grab everything that I own and I try to run out, but for some reason, Braden is trying to rush in. Water is literally shooting from one wall and hitting the opposite wall with a great deal of force. I calmly walk outside, into the restaurant. A waitress gives me a funny look. I politely say this: "Ma'am. Your sink has fallen off of the wall. The pipe broke and now there is water everywhere. Do you hear that noise? That is rushing water." So she takes off in a flash. It was sort of like kicking over an ant hill. Instantly the wait staff is coming out of all these unknown crevices and corners, trying to save their place of employment. I think the manager hates me. I was talking to him a little bit later because I was nervous that some stuff of mine might have been damaged, and he just kept repeating "My restaurant is flooded. My restaurant is flooded." And it was. It took awhile for them to get the water off. They had to kill the water for the entire place and they had at least 3 other parties going at the same time. As the water was rushing over the tiles of that fine establishment, Robert, Natalie and I loaded up the car and drove away.
